Victorian and art deco architecture fill this city with camera-ready charm. We love Pasadena for it’s restored, old world flare and quick drive from downtown Los Angeles. Host of the world renowned Rose Bowl and Rose Parade, Pasadena is also home to many amazing venues: Descano Gardens, Huntington Library and Gardens, Huntington Gardens and the Norton Simon Museum. There is something special about this little Californian city.
Descano Gardens is an urban retreat of year-round natural beauty. They have a colorful and beautiful garden that is the perfect setting for your upcoming nuptials! The venue is romantic, yet relaxed and feels like you are in a secluded space in busy Los Angeles. Descano Gardens hosts weddings, meeting, photo shoots and even filming. It is truly an escape! Wedding ceremonies are hosted in the oak woodlands or the manicured grounds of the Boddy House. They also have indoor locations for your reception. We love designing at Descano Gardens and creating charming and whimsical weddings in this gem of Los Angeles.
You’ve never been anywhere like The Huntington Library. (Hint: it is not just a library!) With A library, art collections, and various gardens to stroll through, you could spend days at the Huntington Library. The gardens include the garden of Flowing Fragrance, the Japanese Garden, the Desert Garden, the Frances and Sidney Brody California Garden, the Frances Lasker Brody Botanical Center which includes the Helen and Peter Bing Children’s Garden and the Rose Hills FOundation Conservatory for Botanical Science, as well as the Associated Foundations Teaching Greenhouse. See - we weren’t kidding when we said you could spend days here! Events are hosted throughout the space (17 outdoor spots and 14 indoor spots to be exact!), so there is a little something for everybody.
The Pasadena History Museum is a beautiful Cultural Landmark in the heart of the city. The Fenyes Mansion was completed in 1907 and still features much of the original furniture.  The front garden hosts the wedding ceremonies, with couples exchanging vows upon the historical grand staircase. Although the space does not host receptions, it is idyllic for a classy and old-world charm ceremony.
The history of Pasadena continues with The Maxwell House. In the heart of downtown, the Maxwell House is full of unique, historic charm. They host weddings, private and corporate events. The Maxwell House hosts the Western Justice Center, which is dedicated to building a more civil peaceful society where differences are valued. We love the beauty and meaning of the Maxwell House!
