You know those warm sepia tone photos we all love? Santa Ynez has the breathtaking vineyards to make it happen. Known as Santa Barbara’s wine country. Santa Ynez is one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world. It is obvious why we at Archive Rentals spend a lot of time servicing this location. Sunstone Winery has an onsite villa straight out of Tuscany. This luxurious estate has an Old-World feel, but still has modern and luxurious amenities. Perched on a 55 acre estate with rolling hills of vineyards, Sunstone Villa is an architectural masterpiece. Built from imported limestone from a small village in France, and wood beams and roof tiles reclaimed from a 19th century lavender factory, once owned by Queen Victoria, this Tuscan inspired Villa is a whooping 8,500 square feet. Reminiscent of wineries in the Provencal French countryside, the courtyard is the perfect backdrop for intimate affairs. Best to keep things small and sweet here, as the venue only allows up to 80 guests. Let Archive bring in our vast inventory and help elevate the space into a european escape. Your guests will feel as though they’re at a destination wedding! Check out this beautiful winery wedding gallery that we we lucky enough to be a part of here!
With the Santa Ynez Mountains to the south and the San Rafael Mountains to the north, Santa Ynez is tucked away in a valley. This vintage township has a small population. The city is filled with period-style false-front buildings downtown. They consider themselves a “sophisticated cowboy town”. The Santa Ynez Valley Historical Society Museum is a great place to stop by if you are in town. The Chumash Casino Resort is also just a hop skip and a jump away. There is also plenty of wineries to enjoy wine tasting. Some of our favorites to stop by: brander Vineyard, Kalyra Winery, Carr Vineyards and Winery, Palmina, Roblar Winery, and Gainey Vineyard. Sit outside and enjoy the beautiful California weather and stunning winery views while sipping on a glass of the state’s finest! There is also plenty of hikes around town or just go for a drive through the windy roads and stumble across cows, horses, you name it! The rolling green hills will keep you and the family mesmerized for days.
