CLASSIC COCKTAIL DRESS

Keep it classic. The go-to and dependable look for any wedding is a cocktail dress. If you are unsure of the vibe of the wedding you’re attending, this is the way to go! Choose a timeless silhouette like A-line or empire. If you feel like you need to step it up a notch, but don’t want to look too overdressed, tea-length is for you.

WHAT ABOUT DUDES?

Men, you have it easy. Unless it’s a casual beach wedding, stick to the basics: a button-up with a suit jacket. It does call for casual wedding attire you say? A short sleeved button-up and khakis will do the trick.

Dear men: You have it so easy. Love, women everywhere.

NO WHITE. WE REPEAT: NO. WHITE.

This goes without saying, but just a gentle reminder to not wear white to a wedding. Unless it is a themed wedding and the invitation specifically states that it’s an all-white affair, stay far away from white. Like, really far. And yes, “cream” counts as white. You’re not getting off on a technicality!

STICK TO FLORALS

Florals are always a good idea. They’re bright without being obnoxious, cute without being overpowering, and classy without being boring. The créme de la créme of wedding attire. It is such a safe way to go! Florals aren’t just for summer either. This is one of our favorite winter wedding looks.

BLACK-TIE FANCY!

If the invitation notes black-tie attire, the approach is simple: dress to seriously impress. Girls, put on your fanciest floor length gown. Note: cotton Maxi Dresses do not count. Boys, dig that suit out of the back of the closet and put it to use! It can be so exciting to dress up in formal wedding attire, so have fun with it!
