Splitting the border of California and Nevada, Tahoe has many different neighborhoods, so there is something for everyone! A tourist destination in all seasons, there is plenty of things to do in Tahoe. Located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. The name of Tahoe derives from the Washoe word “dá'aw,” meaning “The Lake”. The Washoe tribe of Native Americans were the first known inhabitants of the Lake Tahoe area and the lake was the heart and center of this Indian territory. The rise and fall of faulting created the basin that the lake has since filled. This faulting also created the mountains that tourists flock to in the winter months, when snowfall is frequent. It is now the second deepest lake in the United States and the sixteenth deepest lake in the world! The pristine blue water are worth the trip alone!
Fleur du Lac Estates was built within 30 days. When Henry J.
