Our founders + creative directors Crosby and Jon have the pleasure of designing luxurious destination weddings from Southern California to Mexico and beyond. Last spring, Archive Mexico joined forces to create an alternative, exotic Tulum wedding for Taylea + Robin! With two beautiful venues as the backdrop (Casa Violeta for the ceremony following by the reception at Sanara) the scenic settings brought this watercolor-inspired design to life. Taylea envisioned a modern yet authentically tropical experience, inspired by soft sunset hues and local culture + cuisine. Lush botanicals suited the coastline landscape, contributing to the natural beauty + minimalist architecture of Casa Violeta. Krista Jon created an ethereal bouquet of blush peonies, white ranunculus and tropical green touches… paying tribute to the bride’s beaded Badgley Mischka gown.
The white sands were lined with elegant tufted seating in soft grey hues for the ceremony. Grace Chairs and Suffolk Benches made a luxe yet casual statement, topped with plush pastel Pillows. A billowing lace canopy draped with vintage lace and garlands of pastel roses made a stunning frame for the bride + groom.
Luxe lounges sprinkled the open patio of Sanara for the reception! Ocean-views enchanted guests while linen sofas and geometric poufs added chic flair to the cozy boutique hotel.
Our romantic Amour + Grace Sofa embraced the rustic Orion Coffee Table while Mixed Poufs added boho elements to the modern setting.
Crosby + Jon added custom touches of watercolor dyed runners and gold-dipped marble table numbers. Vanessa Jaimes Floral Design enchanted the dreamscape with soft succulent touches and rich arrangements of coral, blush + tropical botanicals.
Mixed White Dinner Plates + Blush Bread Plates glistened against the soft twilight glow. Blush Goblets shimmered along the rustic dining tables, reflecting the gold hues of our Brass Flatware and the pastel floral palette.
From Crosby and Jon: Destination weddings are an intoxicating mix of escape, adventure and romance; so in design, our goal is always to create an intimate and unforgettable experience… everything about Taylea and Rob’s wedding fulfilled just that, and gave them a perfect setting to be closely surrounded by friends and family, enjoying the serene yet exciting atmosphere of Tulum, Mexico.
