Our challenge, the bride seeking a classic chapel wedding and the groom desiring after an outdoor ceremony. Our solution, to use the design elements of a traditional chapel, al fresco style! Ojai Valley Inn Resort & Spa was the perfect canvas to make this vision come to life, framed by gorgeous Heritage and Oak trees. Inspired by the arched windows known to church architecture, we lined the ceremony rustic pew seating with chapel mirrors, which also gave the ceremony a more intimate feeling. The bride entered down the isle through antique French doors, adorned lavishly with fresh blooms, to meet her groom at the end, below a Little White Chapel. The ceremony, needless to say, was perfect.

The reception boasted of it’s own unique beauty, inspired after the artful elements of cinema, a nod to the groom’s hobby. The juxtaposition of old film reels and antique cameras alongside florals of sage green and delicate lilac colored roses, created a romantic setting reminiscent of classic love films. Handsome lounge spaces lined the dining area for guests to escape and enjoy chilled champagne in a more intimate setting adorned with rustic tanned leather, deep crushed velvet and wrought iron industrial seating.
