From the designers, Crosby and JonAlisa and Greg reached out to us two years ago and we were immediately drawn to their earthiness and energy.  The couple wanted to throw a colorful Mexican fiesta filled with color, yet still wanted their big day to be an elegant and romantic event to remember.  This can be a challenge, but it was just our kind of challenge!  After searching, the couple was excited to choose Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano as their setting.  With San Juan’s history deeply rooted in Mexican culture and cuisine, and Serra Plaza’s Spanish-style stone architecture, we thought this was an ideal canvas to work with.

The Sage Display Case greeted guests upon entry with an Ornate Chalkboard FrameChelsea Hurricanes + Moroccan Lanterns added a metallic dimensions and lush blooms added perfect pops of color.

Colorful linens from La Tavola backdropped the tropical dreamscape: Brass ChargersWhite Dinner Plates, Rosegold Flatware and Crystal Champagne Coupes. Goblets of Amethyst, Green, Amber and Navy glistened against the bold serape linens! Round tables and long Sonoma Tables lined the courtyards, graced with a beautiful mix of brown wood Farm Chairs.

Wine Barrels and Vintage Crates graced the sides of the Sonoma Barn Table, which hosted an eclectic mix of Cake Stands. Our green rustic Merchant Cart held White Dessert Plates, propped by a Wood Vintage Crate!

Our Crate Wall made a rustic backdrop, graced with an ombre of colorful Krista Jon blooms ranging from red to fuchsia, orange to yellow!

Cozy lounge vignettes scattered the courtyard for mingling guests. Our Kate Settee, Vixen Chairs, Fleur Coffee TableHuck Side Table and Turkish Azhar Rug added a spectrum of romantic hues. Rosa Bar Tables backdropped the lounges for guests to enjoy standing conversation, drinks in hand.

Tufted grey Annika Chairs were balanced by playful chevron Ziggy Ottomans! Our Delphine Side Table and Cambira Trunk added a unique mix of shabby chic + rustic.

Alexander Bars winged the sides of the Mercantile Bar, backdropped by the fitting Marquee “Bar” Letters!

The beautiful head table was backdropped by the venue’s grand water fountain, where Krista Jon placed a magical array of trailing blooms + botanicals. The natural wood Sadie Table was embraced by two tufted Annika Chairs for the bride + groom. The ornate Moroccan Ali Rug added deep burgundy textures!

From Crosby and Jon Our inspiration for color palette came from Santiago and Mayan cultures: Rich purple blooms, vibrant corals and deep ocean teal.  We lit the intimate tree-lined courtyard with a combination of string lights, chandeliers, and of course candlelight. Alisa and Greg were radiant as they dined in the glow of candles, followed by dancing with their friends and family to mariachi and DJ music.  The air was festive and filled with romance as everyone celebrated long into the night.  Alisa and Greg’s wedding came together to be the truly the vibrant Mexican fiesta they had wanted, yet with romance they could have hoped for.   Mucho amour para Alisa and Greg!
